Kirill Ovchinnikov   Krymsk.Witnesses. Direct Speech



The first impression of this exhibition is shock, especially when I read direct speach of the witnesses of the flood in Krymsk ( It felt like someone slowly cut my heart in small pieces). And I thought what the point of this.I  think the author wanted to show the reality, how that happened and how that felt like. May be people should know that in addition to calm, warm full of routine life there are people who suffer. 
Real people and their quotes without comments or other effects that what makes these photographs so impressive and REAL. Sometimes reality put in a frame can say more than painting or installation.

Лекция Александра Уварова «Экодизайн. Закономерности зеленого проектирования» состоялась в воскресение 9 октября на территории школы «Мосты». Александр Уваров - Кандидат искусствоведения, член Московского союза художников, преподаватель кафедры «промышленный дизайн» МГХПА им. С.Г. Строганова, куратор некоммерческого проекта об экологии и дизайне «Мы». Как я уже говорила, лекция состоялась в школе «Мосты», школа позиционирует свою деятельность как «новую форму интеллектуального активного отдыха». Как сообщали вывески в школе, заняться у них можно чем угодно, от изучения иврита и греческого до вышивки, гончарного дела и буддизма. В целом концепт и направленность школы мне понравились, появление таких мест говорит о готовности общества учиться, развиваться разносторонне и проводить время с пользой.  "Did Soviet Russia have any design?" you might be wondering :) After visiting the exibition held at Moscow Manege I would say: "Yes! Design did exist in Soviet Union." The exibits were showing various aspects of social everyday life. The first products I got to see were the radio sets. These were very cool to me, because I couldn't think of how far distance they could reach.(the scale was saying: St Petersburg, Vladivostok, Berlin, Praga, Paris & so on) Than I've been told that the radio wavelength of those times was mainly huge. And now they're not needed because of the internet, now radio waves are ultra-short. This huge radio set was called "Rigonda". It was constructed by very talented Latvian designer Adolf Irbite in 1967.  Radiola "Riga 104" from the back side. It was made of cardboard. The start of production 1973, Latvia.
