Недавно на книжных прилавках нашей страны появилась книга-биография Стива Джобса, основателя и руководителя компании Apple. Почему эту книгу стоит прочесть? Ведь уже существует множество других книг о Джобсе. Дело в том, что в этой книге Стив Джобс нанял известного в США биографа Уолтера Айзексона, автора книг о Бенджамине Франклине и Альберте Эйнштейне. Писатель пишет в открытой и интересной манере. Более того, Джобс дал ему более 40 эксклюзивных интервью, а также посоветовал, с кем из его бывших товарищей и врагов есть смысл побеседовать. Я лично не считаю, что эта книга — PR-ход, непонятно зачем нужный Джобсу после его смерти. Исходя из незаинтересованности главного действующего лица я склонен считать, что изложенное в книге (или большинство — правда). Если версия Джобса относительно каких-либо событий розница с версией противоположной стороны, приводится обе версии. Автор не всегда на стороне основателя Apple и старается выступить в роли третейского судьи. Все это позволяет рассматривать данную книгу как источник информации с высокой степенью достоверности.
Более того, в наше время о Стиве ходит очень много легенд, но с основными фактами многие люди оказываются незнакомы. Эта книга позволяет развенчать многие мифы, но и в то же время создает новые.

Out of all artists, designers and architects that were active in during th 20th century Le Corbusier was one of the most outstanding figures as he had significantly influenced architecture as we know it these days.  This weekend I went to his exhibition in  Pushkinsky museum.  I wanted to learn more about this famous individual. In spite of the fact that the exposition there was rather modest as only a small part of the museum was devoted to it, it is still more than possible to understand the way the artist worked. A great deal of the exposition is devoted to sketches and technical drawings of his architectural masterpieces. There is no need to say how professional and precise they are, yet what must to be noticed is the great diversity of techniques that were used for recording ideas. Victor Papanek "Design for the Real World" book.

I read "Design for the Real World" by Victor Papanek in russian through last summer and i'm still under great impression about it. Moreover, the author is so convincing in his viewpoints that now i need to find and read something completely opposite to restore the balance in my mind. As i understand it, the  real world for Victor Papanek is the world of developing countries and countries of the third world. He is certain about the idea that any human concidering him- or herself a Designer must contribute to find decisions against danger, hunger, deseases, poverty, misery e t.c. for those people who have  needs , not just wishes or desires. At least 1/10 of its time might ennoble the designer's soul, so to say. His first main project that brought him to fame was hand-made radio station, the receiver in the image below. This is his first personal exhibition in Russia. "The Big Wheel Keeps on Turning is the story of the planet and everything that lives on it. It is our lives in time. Like spiral of a shell, the world is in constant revolution"         Marc Quinn This exhibition leaves very optimistic, delightful impression. I liked it a lot especially because I am interested in the theme of life and "story of the planet". An eye can show the world of the single person which is as deep, unbelievable and infinite as the world around us. I think the author paints eyes as maps of the world, representing connection between the world and the person.
