Opera Italia. The Harmony of Italian Design

Until April 30 MOD Gallery hosts presentation project - exhibition “Opera Italia. The Harmony of Italian Design” organized by the cooperation of Chambers of Commerce of 9 Italian cities. Among the exhibits you can see the interior products, lighting, furniture, bathroom equipment, and several items for outdoor use.

Companies presented in this exhibition do not have distributors in Russia, their products were rarely delivered in limited quantities by special order.Upon completion of this project, they hope to obtain regular customers and official representatives.

There are high-class things with corresponding prices, as well as items at a reasonable prices for the middle market segment. 

Livoni

Presented products can be divided into three categories: design, made to impress; functional, solid design; and design to sell. Judging by the many things an idea of ​​the Russian consumer is not very flattering.

It is rather not possessing a good taste a man who loves the rich monograms, marble and has a lot of money. This reveals upon discovery of prices for most of products (the worse, and frilly the object is, the higher its price).  

Flora Style. This item really amazed me, combination of wood & this type of acryl  is not suitable for bathroom, due to fragility & lack of duarbility. 

But it is worth noting that some factories put up some interesting things with the character and high style. For example, Bianchinox company that manufactures items for outdoor use. At this exhibition they presented outdoor stoves & portable kitchen worktops.

These products look like functional, with the surfaces from natural stone, easy to use and to clean. 

Here are some funny looking & a bit strange designs. As a curator said some of these products already found its buyers during this exhibition.

One piece of furniture was much more interesting than others. This is a bed with built-in projector. Fully automotive and controlled from the phone, with movable shutters on each side, speakers with a sub woofer. If it did not cost the money for which it is proposed that would be the best design on this exhibition (50000 Euro). 

There are some interesting products at this show. But if you go, make sure there is a curator available that will explain the details of presented items. Otherwise, it might look like a strange set of incompatible objects.
