I remember what some of our student`s has already been where but as I understood they hadn`t visited full exposition. So I`ll try to narrate you a little bit deeper my thought. I was there one year before and thanks God that i didn`t delete those pictures of beautiful collection of retro automobiles. Once again, Autoville is a small museum. In fact it`s a kind of garage. Instead of retro automobiles you `ll see those a small collection of modern sport cars. Firstly I paid attention on Mercedes-Benz 540K. In fact it`s a sport car, but unfortunately this model has never had some good results on the race. First of all it was a premium class automobile for those who`ve got enough money. Being introduced in 1939 it had 7 different variants of body from 2-5 places to limousine. Owing to the fact that this design attract everybody's attention it`s not surprising that this auto was popular before. The surface amazed me, especially the design of the wings. It looks that everything is perfe

James Turrel

Another exhibition that I visited this summer is first solo exhibition in Russia by one of the worlds`s most important artist - James Turrell. James Turrell has been creating art from light and space since that 1960s. Over nearly five decades, he has developed an extensive body of work that includes sculptures, holograms(which were most appreciated by my, still trying to find the way to buy in for home interior), installations, and architecture. By capturing and emphasizing the evanescent and refractory qualities of light, Turrell engineers works of art that must be experienced rather that just viewed. This visit started in a funny way. As soon as i bought a ticket i come to the entry. I don`t know how but i entered this exhibition via exit passing without wait for one's turn. The space on exhibition was devided by the walls which make a corridor between different expositions there is no light at all. So it sometimes was too difficult to find the way without hitting the wall by yo

THE NEW DECOR

I remember that we visited this exhibition last year when we were on foundation course. It was the week of fine art and Ian said that we should visit it. Most of us made some notes which were included in to our sketchbooks, but I didn`t. That`s why today I`m trying to rethink that i have already seen before. Well, THE NEW DECOR was exhibition which consist on works of 40 artist from 24 countries. The main idea of that exposition was to show how the concept of interior design is perceived in different countries by different cultures. This work has been created by russian Artist Anna Jelud`. Author says that his work is studio space, where are transmuted motives of workshop interior. In her opinion on that exhibition all works were absurd and she tried to make something in the same way. As for me. I guess i spent the most time in front of this exposition. Despite of the fact that it is interior of workshop it looks too minimalistic and impossibly clear. It was a virnissage of a new exhibition in Museum of Modern Art Moscow which would extend from 25.11.2011 to 2.09.2012. The exhibition calls “ИСКУССТВОестьИСКУССТВОестьИСКУССТВО” (ARTexistARTexistART) you can go and see in MMoMA (ул. Петровка, 25). Well, for me it’s always rather difficult to talk about art, because it something you should feel and feelings is the really difficult thing to explain. This exhibition contains works from early avant-garde to contemporary art. The wide period of presented works helped because I’m rather skeptical about modern art at the last time. The interesting thing I’ve noticed that works mostly are hang up quite well, I mean the composition and combinations of close to each other pictures. And one more interesting thing, one part of exhibition happens in the dark. They made some kind of tunnel with pictures on walls and some video installations but there are no light, you can see only light flashes sometimes. Moreover, in this tunnel flour an
